Another long overdo check in! Obviously, I have been extremely busy and have not had the time to do any kinds of updates, which I am about to get worked out soon enough on the constant updates. Anyhow, Huge things working its courses. let's say, gilflo is ABOUT to go global.. I cannot go into to many details, or none at all JUST yet since the paperwork, conference, etc hasn't come to pass as of it. Have a conference call with the president of this "high profile" company tomorrow to discuss the partnership of gilflo and UN-said company. This is a major step that is about to be taken and VERY exciting! I will of course update the info ONCE things are all penned up and set. Thank GOD things are working through. It is true about God working "behind the scenes". Other than this huge opportunity, I have been working on some official remixes and also new music for some upcoming artist signed to a few major record labels, so that has really got my time wrapped! As i type, I realize how much this years "internal" resolutions are lining up and starting to make a place in my future. The harder you work, the Better the opportunities. Just wanted to do a quick update. Thanksgiving holiday was great! Spent MUCH needed time with family. On the music end, got a call and opportunity to work on music for another HIGH profile artist. Since it's all in the demoing stages, everything is on the hush hush for now. Once they decide they can work with the music tracks I sent, then the paperwork gets done, THEN names can be dropped! Until then, Its more of the "High Profile" status. It's been hectic these past 3 month, and I'm just about ready to start bringing up gilflo productions. I have been approached from time to time on getting some help as far as promotion, "push", marketing, etc, but I have just wanted to take time on getting the production end strong and actually developing "my" own sound. I have recently signed some letters of intent, which are agreements that protect me and the person(s) assisting in getting me work, and since then, have been focusing on getting my music library FULL with music of all genres. So, after this calms down, I will defiantly be on the lookout to start assembling a crew to start making this "gilflo" an actual movement. Until then, the work never stops!!

November update....

Taking a moment to do a quick update.... BUSY!!! demoing time is at hand. I have been working non stop, getting music ready to shop/send to some HIGH Profile artists for the first quarter (the first of the year that artist start releasing albums, singles, etc). It's a hectic time because almost EVERYONE is looking and its hard to choose who to write/compose/produce music for. Changing subject, I've had some people ask me what kind of music I typically listen to, or "whats on the iPod??", well.... I listen to many different things. Right now, I listen A LOT more to soundtrack type music. Mostly soundtracks to video games such as, Uncharted (1,2,3), Gears, Arkham City, etc.. It keeps the wheels turning since its mainly just orchestration and mood. I really don't listen to much of anything else, just to keep my mind clear and kind of "out" of the loop. When I do listen to artist, I listen to Quadron, Air, the Gorillaz, Evanescence, Incubus, and a mix of R&b/Pop/hip hop artist out there. Just thought i would post this to fill up some room here! Thanks again for stopping by the page, and I will get back when i have some better info and news to share.. Around this time of the year, its non stop focus on getting music together as well as balancing Life, so with THAT said....

OCt Update...

Just wanted to update as to what has been going on lately and the lack of post. One Word... BUSY! I have been wrappin up a project that I have been working around for the past 2 months. Also, have been demoing tracks with some HUGE, High profile artist for upcoming albums etc alongside some grammy award winning songwriters, and again I MEAN SOME HIGH PROFILE named Artist!!! Other than that, planning another trip To LA for some work very soon. Another day another way has been my motto. Will definitely update soon, and as soon as things happen. Thanks for stoppin by the blog. I haven't really updated since I got back from Atlanta. I'm blaming it on the jet lag etc. Actually, as soon as I got back I had A LOT of work I had to start getting knocked away. I have recently joined the roster of a publishing company who places music with film, TV, video games, etc. The way that works is that I will get an email or emails explaining what is needed. This publishing company works with MANY record labels, film production companies, music supervisors and so on. The client needing music for say their show, film, game, etc, will contact the publishing company and tell them exactly what they are needing to fit the scene, trailer, and so on. From that point, the publisher reaches out to "US", the producers/composers and songwriters, and tell us what is needed, for what show, and the deadline. They don't go in to too much detail sometimes, other than an alien invasion type trailer, or a new show on Disney/Nick/MTV, etc.. From that point, we just start the creating process and once done, we submit our material back to the publisher and from there, the publisher shows the client the material, and in the perfect world, the client purchases the work and that is a placement for that job!! So as i mentioned, as soon as I got back from Atlanta, I was blessed with a few shows needing music, a movie trailer, and a commercial. So now its the waiting game time and turning on the FAITH that these placements are landed.
