Thanks for the view

Thanks for stoppin by the blog. I haven't really updated since I got back from Atlanta. I'm blaming it on the jet lag etc. Actually, as soon as I got back I had A LOT of work I had to start getting knocked away. I have recently joined the roster of a publishing company who places music with film, TV, video games, etc. The way that works is that I will get an email or emails explaining what is needed. This publishing company works with MANY record labels, film production companies, music supervisors and so on. The client needing music for say their show, film, game, etc, will contact the publishing company and tell them exactly what they are needing to fit the scene, trailer, and so on. From that point, the publisher reaches out to "US", the producers/composers and songwriters, and tell us what is needed, for what show, and the deadline. They don't go in to too much detail sometimes, other than an alien invasion type trailer, or a new show on Disney/Nick/MTV, etc.. From that point, we just start the creating process and once done, we submit our material back to the publisher and from there, the publisher shows the client the material, and in the perfect world, the client purchases the work and that is a placement for that job!! So as i mentioned, as soon as I got back from Atlanta, I was blessed with a few shows needing music, a movie trailer, and a commercial. So now its the waiting game time and turning on the FAITH that these placements are landed.

Final Day of "Majesty" Recording session

Started the day off with a nice recording session. The "Topsy Turvy" track was a success!!! We finished off the vocal session with a mix of the track. After this,a session was pulled that contained some SUPER HIGH PROFILE artists (which once released, names will be given). This track was in the works, or actually a "work in process".

My friend/future engineer, Alan (AP) (shown to the left) had the honor of sitting in on this project with Dale as he finalized the mix. Assisting in this mix session, (AP) was given his FIRST album credit as ASSISTANT ENGINEER on this HIGH PROFILE track. This is another hard concrete example that ANYTHING is possible anywhere you are!! With belief IN YOURSELF. Its up to "you" to unwrap your own "gift" and share as well as enjoy it. AMAZING TIME IN Atlanta!! I also just got word that I will be having an Atlanta part 2 sometime next month to link back up with Dale "Rambro" Ramsey and do the final MIX of this track for it's SINGLE debut... Keep an ear out for "Topsy Turvy" by Majesty...

Atlanta "Majesty" Recording session @ Ramtrax Studios

August 25-26th in Atlanta GA.
I was hired by Nate Singletary (an original crew/road man. for NKOTB) to produce for one of his upcoming artist who goes by the name Majesty. Today turned out to be a very productive session. We laid down vocals on a track that I produced titled "Topsy Turvy", which Majesty wrote the lyrics to. I took a different approach on it and gave it a bit of a twist. The song will turn some heads for her. She started off as a writer and is taking the artist approach. My friend/bizz partna, Alan (AP), went along with me on this trip since he is going to eventually be my personnal sound engineer. We learned a LOT working with a multi hit mixing sound engineer/Writer/Producer Dale "Rambro" Ramsey who has recorded, mixed, and befriended with names such as The Temptations, Ludacris, Earth, Wind & Fire, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Pink, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, NSync, Fabolous, Big Boi of Outkast, L’il Flip, Mario Winans, U.G.K. (aka The Underground Kingz), Frank Sinatra, Dru Hill, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Diana Ross, Destiny's Child, The Backstreet Boys, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Big Tymers, Lionel Richie, Eazy-E, Bone Crusher, David Banner, Pastor Troy, Dave Hollister, Goodie Mob, New Kids on the Block, Scarface, Slick Rick, Petey Pablo, Ice-T, TLC, Color Me Badd, Bobby Womack, Blu Cantrell, Jagged Edge, T.I.P, Sevendust, to mention a few, AND MANY MANY MORE artist, movies, etc! It was a Huge Honor to work along side him and he also gave ME the honor of running his space controls (mixing board), or to "Drive", as seen in the pic below.

Tommorow is another day of sessions which will be more vocal work. Atlanta is definanly a place I will make time to come back to and also to work along side Rambro again. This is my latest Radio Single which i produced that is currently being spun (played) here in the US and more overseas. It was also co-produced by Kevin Chamberliss. For those of you not too familiar with Anita Ward, she had a HUGE Disco hit in the 70's titled, "Ring My Bell", which I'm sure that title rang a bell. The album is being worked on as a type this and I am also providing more material for that as well. A Music Video will be coming soon.

A track I produced back in 2005 for a cousin of mine by the name of Mike Saiz...(he's still pursuing his career so look em up) We did about 99-100% of this recording in a bedroom with a closet converted into a vocal booth.. Side note, My wife, Valerie, Is actually singing the hook. This was my very FIRST track that I did that got any kind of Video done to it. Just going through things and ran into this and thought I would post!
